In collaboration with Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Partnership (IOWSCP), we are delighted to announce our first ever Safeguarding Children Week on 9-13 October 2023.
Safeguarding Children Week has been developed by the partnerships as an annual opportunity to bring together agencies and organisations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to raise awareness of important safeguarding issues. The aim for the week is to enable all organisations and individuals working with children and families to feel confident in identifying the signs of abuse and neglect and to record and respond to safeguarding concerns.
Each day of Safeguarding Children Week will feature a different theme, that will be ‘unlocked’ each morning for practitioners to access. This will include a host of information including the launch of several new toolkits, messages from senior managers and key learning that can be applied to practice. Make sure to come back every day to learn more and follow us on X/Twitter. Search for #safeguardingchildren2023.
