Developed by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Partnerships, Safeguarding Children Week brings together agencies and organisations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to raise awareness among partners, professionals and community and voluntary leaders about the importance of safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
Each day of Safeguarding Children Week we will be promoting a different theme to professionals working with children and families in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Today, on Day 2 of Safeguarding Children Week, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton (HIPS) Safeguarding Children Partnerships launches the new Child Exploitation Toolkit.
The new HIPS Child Exploitation Toolkit provides information on signs and vulnerabilities as well as policy, procedures and practical tools that can be used to support you, as professionals, working
with children and families where there is a risk of child exploitation and extra familial harm.
Three identical launch events of the toolkit will be held throughout today at 09:30, 13:30 and 19:00. If you haven’t yet booked your free place, there is still time! Book now.
