Developed by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Partnerships, Safeguarding Children Week brings together agencies and organisations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to raise awareness among partners, professionals and community and voluntary leaders about the importance of safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
Each day of Safeguarding Children Week we will be promoting a different theme to professionals working with children and families in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Today, on Day 1 of Safeguarding Children Week, we are delighted to release two new toolkits for people who work with children:
Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership and Hampshire Safeguarding Adult Board have developed the new Prevent Toolkit to support professionals working with children who may be at risk of, or are, being groomed for radicalisation.
Community, voluntary and faith groups play a huge role in supporting children and their families locally and nationally. To support these organisations in their safeguarding responsibilities we have developed a Community and Voluntary Organisations Toolkit.
