25 November 2022 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, also known as White Ribbon Day. From that day until Human Rights Day on 10 December 2022, is the 16 Days of Activism. In partnership with the Hampshire Domestic Abuse Partnership, Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) are hosting a range of domestic abuse themed training in November and December. These fully funded multi-agency events are available for all professionals working with children and families who live in the Hampshire Local Authority area.

An Introduction to Recognising and Responding to Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse

An Introduction to the Impact of Domestic Abuse on Children Under 10

This training provides an overview of the impact of domestic abuse with a specific focus on children under 10 years old. Delegates will gain understanding of the ways that children can be affected by domestic abuse and violence and make links between domestic abuse and child abuse. The course is designed to support professionals in recognising the difficulties for parents experiencing domestic abuse and how these impact on their ability to parent, as well as exploring the difficulties for victims of domestic abuse in forming attachments with their children.
