Safeguarding Infants in Hampshire Survey

Date: Friday, 25th Mar 2022 | Category: Surveys

As part of its key priority areas of work, Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP), is undertaking a Safeguarding Infants audit from April to June, to look holistically at how we safeguard unborn babies and children under one in the county.

This multi-dimensional audit will triangulate local and national learning, encompassing four main areas of work:

  1. Unborn/Newborn Baby Safeguarding Protocol
  2. Bruising Protocol for the management of actual or suspected bruising in infants who are not independently mobile
  3. Abusive head trauma (ICON) programme
  4. Safe sleep (Every Sleep Counts) programme

To support this work, HSCP have developed a short and anonymous practitioner survey to better understand the level of awareness and use of these existing protocols and programmes of work.

All professionals that engage with young families are encouraged to take part including those who are not particularly familiar with the work programmes.

Take the Survey now.

Your response to the survey is greatly valued. Professional feedback will form part of the audit findings and direct the work we undertake over the next year to continue safeguarding Hampshire’s infants.

The survey closes on 2 May 2022.
