Date: Friday, 15th Dec 2023 | Category: Training

Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) provides free multi-agency training to professionals who work with children and families. Our goal is to enhance the knowledge and skills of practitioners to help keep Hampshire’s children safe and promote their welfare in line with evolving best practice.

The new HSCP training brochure for 2024/25 is shortly to be released, offering both virtual and face-to-face training opportunities for practitioners from different agencies to learn together. Our popular safeguarding themes will continue, with the addition of several new webinars including harms related to excessive gaming or gambling in under 18s, the unique needs of military families and exploring professional curiosity and disguised compliance. Understanding cumulative harm and normalising neglect will also be featured.

Since 2020, our online training offer has grown substantially, with over 27,690 training sessions having been accessed and over 12,035 delegates registering with the training platform to support their continuous professional development. We continue to receive positive feedback on the accessibility of our training offer, with attendees appreciating the flexibility of short webinars and Lunchtime Learning workshops that fit conveniently into busy schedules.  eLearning courses remain a popular training option given they allow participants to upskill when timing permits in their own day.

Keep an eye out for the release of the new training brochure in our special edition training newsletter in the new year. In the meantime, take a look at the Virtual Multi-Agency Learning Platform for courses that we currently have on offer up until March 2025.
