Celebrating three years of the HSCP Virtual Training Offer

Date: Monday, 12th Jun 2023 | Category: Training

June 2023 marked the three year anniversary of the Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership’s Virtual Training Offer, available to all Hampshire professionals working with children and families who live in the local authority area.

The Virtual Training Offer was established in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, to ensure professionals could continue accessing safeguarding training following the suspension of face-to-face learning. Over the last three years, the offer has grown substantially with over 22,000 training sessions having been accessed.

HSCP virtual training consists of a diverse range of fully funded multi-agency virtual courses, including over 50 different webinars and 14 eLearning modules, developed to support core learning on children’s safeguarding. These events bring professionals together to develop knowledge and skills and emphasis the benefits of working together to deliver positive outcomes for children and families.

Since its inception, the programme has proved to be a tremendous success with over 10,800 professionals registering on the HSCP platform. Delegate feedback has been extremely positive on the accessibility and variety of courses offered:

“Really well facilitated, people shared their experience which was really valuable.”

“I found this to be a great source of information with engaging practitioners and with regular interactive moments.”

“I was impressed with all speakers; the training was engaging (really good to be able to contribute via polls); the session was a perfect length and there were excellent resources/signposts to additional help.”

“Great delivery and clear communication, very well structured. The case study helped me understand the threat.”

“The course was really interesting, well explained and kept me engaged throughout.”
