COVID-19: Virtual Learning

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) suspended all face-to-face training. To ensure frontline professionals could continue accessing safeguarding training during the pandemic, the HSCP launched the hugely successful virtual multi-agency learning platform consisting of virtual courses, webinars, workshops, and e-learning materials.

Courses are provided free of charge to all professionals working with families and children who live in the Hampshire Local Authority area.

This year’s training focuses on virtual delivery, which will continue to form part of the HSCP’s approach to training. Moving forwards, face-to-face training will be incorporated back into the programme to provide a more ‘blended’ approach, as and when it becomes safe to do so.

What courses do you offer?

HSCP offers a wide variety of fully funded multi-agency events, including virtual courses, webinars, workshops and e-learning materials. These events bring professionals together to develop knowledge and skills and emphasise the benefits of working together to deliver positive outcomes for children and families.

HSCP have produced a Training Brochure that includes the learning outcomes for each multi-agency course.

How can I book on HSCP training?

Courses are available to browse and book on the HSCP Events Booking Page. Each member of staff wishing to attend multi-agency safeguarding training must hold an account. New accounts can be set up on the Registration section of the Events Booking Page. Please note that you cannot book multiple tickets for the same course or book on another person’s behalf; an individual account needs to be created for each person that is attending the training.

It is important when setting up accounts that staff select the correct sector and organisation from the drop-down. If your organisation is not listed, please contact hscpevents@hants.gov.uk.
