HSCP Yearly Report 2023-24
Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) is pleased to announce the publication of its Yearly Report for 2023-24.
The Yearly Report is published as part of HSCP’s statutory responsibilities under the statutory guidance, Working Together to Safeguard Children. It details the efforts made by agencies to improve outcomes for children and their families and evaluates the effectiveness of these programmes of work from April 2023 to March 2024. The report also addresses how the safeguarding partners and relevant agencies are responding to the updated Working Together to Safeguard Children, published in December 2023.
This year, the report is in a new format, allowing users to watch, listen or read it in one go or in smaller sections. This flexibility aims to make the report more accessible and engaging, whether explored individually, or with peers and teams. Feedback on this new format is encouraged.
The Yearly Report is divided into sections focusing on impact, assurance and learning, and provides evidence of the effectiveness of multi-agency safeguarding arrangements for Hampshire’s children. It includes a critical assessment of the strengths and areas needing improvement of the local safeguarding arrangements, conducted by the independent chair and scrutineer, along with multi-agency scrutiny work.
The 2023-24 report highlights the collective efforts of everyone working with children and families in Hampshire. It showcases the positive impact of these efforts and outlines the strategic priorities for 2024-26. Additionally, it introduces the new partnership arrangements set to commence in autumn 2024. Readers are encouraged to review the report to understand the significant work undertaken during the reporting period and the future plans for safeguarding children in Hampshire.
