2022-23 HSCP Training Brochure Launched

9 May 2022 — The Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) is delighted to announce the publication of its 2022-23 Training Brochure for its Virtual Multi-Agency Learning Platform, which provides free training to all professionals working with children and families who live in the Hampshire Local Authority area.

The Virtual Learning Platform consists of virtual courses, Webinar Wednesdays, eLearning materials and Lunchtime Learning workshops.

Since its inception in 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the online training offer has grown substantially with over 5,550 Hampshire delegates participating in Webinar Wednesdays during the 2021/22 training year. Feedback received has highlighted high delegate satisfaction with the accessibility of training and the subject knowledge of the trainers:

“Absolutely fantastic lunchtime learning course, really great idea.”

Well organised and informative. Helpful that there was time for questions as well. Very approachable host.”

“I enjoyed the 1-hour format and the opportunity to seek further support from the trainer after the training had been completed.”

This year’s programme sees a repeat of the most popular courses such as ‘Coercive Control Awareness Training’, ‘An Introduction to the Trauma Informed Journey’ and ‘Understanding, Identifying and Responding to Neglect’, as well as the introduction of new safeguarding themes, including:

  • An Introduction to Safeguarding Children with Disabilities (including Learning Disabilities)
  • New Domestic Abuse themed webinars
  • Suicide Prevention Awareness Training

Professionals will continue to have the option of Lunchtime Learning workshops, ideal for those pressed for time, but still wanting to ensure their safeguarding training is up to date.
