Virtual Learning 2021-22

The HSCP recently published it’s 2021-22 Training Brochure for its Virtual Multi-Agency Learning Platform, which provides free training to all professionals working with children and families who live in the Hampshire Local Authority area.

The Virtual Learning Platform consists of virtual courses, Webinar Wednesdays, e-learning materials, and more recently Lunchtime Learning workshops. The Platform was developed last year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that professionals could continue accessing safeguarding training following the suspension of face-to-face learning.

Since its inception, the online training has gone from strength to strength, with over 3,000 Hampshire delegates participating in Webinar Wednesdays alone. Feedback received has been positive on the variety of courses offered and accessibility.

This year’s programme sees a repeat of the most popular courses such as An Introduction to Safeguarding Infants, Neglect and Harmful Cultural Practices, as well as the introduction of new safeguarding themes, including:

  • An Introduction to Keeping Children Safe Online
  • An Introduction to Safeguarding Children with Disabilities (including Learning Disabilities)
  • Working with families with No Recourse to Public Funding
  • New Domestic Abuse themed webinars

In addition, professionals now have the option of Lunchtime Learning workshops, ideal for those pressed for time, but still wanting to ensure their safeguarding training is up to date.

For the full list of courses, which are available to book up until March 2022, see the HSCP Training Brochure.  E-learning courses, including the recently launch Brook Traffic Light Tool, can be completed anytime, via the HSCP e-learning booking page.
